Union County Teen Arts Festival at UCC

March 17-18, 2012

The Union County Teen Arts Festival, sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is a two-day celebration of the arts held annually at Union County College in Cranford, New Jersey. The event held was open to all students from public, charter, private and parochial middle and high schools in Union County.

An estimated 3,500 students participated in performances, critiquing seminars, master classes and workshops critiqued by a staff of 55 professional artists in every discipline, (myself included) – visual art, music, creative writing, theater and dance.

The festival was not a competition, but rather a learning and performance opportunity for students.

Below are examples of some of the amazing student work!

A big "thank you" to all of the volunteers and Union County College staff that made this event so enjoyable for the artista and critiquers.
